# NRC 2026 — General Rules & Regulations

These rules apply to every NRC 2026 segment. A segment rulebook may add stricter requirements.

## 1. Eligibility and registration

- Every team must register before the official deadline.
- A team cannot register more than once in the same segment with the same members. A separate entry requires a different team composition.
- A team may enter multiple segments. It must provide separate robots, controllers, and equipment where schedules overlap.
- NRC is not responsible when a team misses a segment because its registered segments overlap.
- Registration information must be accurate. NRC may request identity or eligibility documents.

## 2. Segment eligibility

The following segments are open to everyone: BattleBot, Nano BattleBot, RC Car Racing, RC Boat Racing, Drone Racing, and Underwater Robot Challenge. NRC may request a valid identity document.

All other segments are student-only for participants currently studying at a recognized school, college, university, madrasha, polytechnic, or other relevant educational institution, subject to stricter rules below.

- Junior Project Showcase: school, college, and madrasha students only.
- Senior Project Showcase: university and Polytechnic students only.
- Sumo Bot: school, college, university, and relevant institute students only.
- Poster Presentation: school, college, and university students only.

Student ID or other proof of enrollment may be required.

## 3. NRC 2025 champions

A team that became Champion in an NRC 2025 segment cannot enter the same segment in NRC 2026. It may enter other segments.

## 4. Registration fees

- Registration fees are non-refundable.
- If NRC cancels a registered segment, affected teams will receive a full refund for that segment.
- Registration must be completed before the deadline.
- The listed registration fee covers up to **3 team members**.
- Each additional member costs **750 BDT**.
- A team may have no more than **8 members**.

## 5. Attendance

- Teams must arrive and check in within the announced reporting time.
- Late arrival may lead to a penalty or disqualification.
- Participant crest, ID card, and certificate will be provided at the beginning of the event.

## 6. Participant benefits

Each registered team member will receive an individual participant crest, ID card, certificate, snacks, lunch, and sponsor gifts when available.

## 7. Awards and announced prize pools

Each segment will recognize Champion, Runner-up, 3rd Place, and 4th Place. All four positions receive a dummy check and crest. Champion, Runner-up, and 3rd Place receive cash prizes under the segment prize structure and sponsor gifts when available.

The event's announced total prize pool is **500K BDT**. The currently supplied segment amounts total **490K BDT**; NRC must announce the remaining allocation or a revised segment amount. The distribution among Champion, Runner-up, and 3rd Place is TBA.

## 8. Minimum registration

NRC may set a minimum number of registrations for a segment. If registration is below that minimum, NRC may cancel the segment, change its format, or adjust its prize money. A cancelled segment receives a full fee refund.

## 9. Fair play and disqualification

NRC may disqualify a team or participant for cheating, prohibited equipment or methods, harassment, fighting or threats, damaging equipment, interference, false information, or other unfair activity. Fees are not refunded after misconduct-based disqualification.

## 10. Robots and equipment

Teams provide their own robots, controllers, batteries, tools, and spare parts. NRC may inspect equipment before or during competition. Unsafe or non-compliant equipment may be rejected.

## 11. Organizer authority

NRC may change the venue, fee, prize money, schedule, format, or rules where unavoidable circumstances require it. NRC may issue event-day instructions for safety and fairness. Judges' and the organizing committee's decisions are final.

## 12. Code of conduct

Participants must respect judges, organizers, volunteers, and teams; follow venue and competition instructions; maintain cleanliness and discipline; and compete fairly.

## 13. Media

NRC and its official partners or sponsors may photograph, record, and publish event-related media for promotional and documentary purposes.
